A Quick Rundown on Pretty Quilts

Since Annie and I are lusting after making quilts and various quilts we see about 84.67 % of the time we're together (like this Sunday morning), this is a post on quilts I'm digging right now and helpful links to pages and people who know all about the wonderful sewing world of quilting.

Like Ms. Ashley from Film In The Fridge (FITF).  FITF is a wonnnnnnderful blog documenting all the lovely quilts made by the lovely lady mentioned above.  Her quilts have this fresh-from-the-dryer feel that I just want to gobble up (and then snuggle in afterwards!).  A speedy sampling of her work I'm crushing on:

And this one:

Be still my crafty heart! I just love those patterns and the bright colors. And those crisp white divider-thingies really pull it together. I would not object to someone purchasing that quilt for me right now. For reals.

These linen napkins really wet my crafty whistle.  Though not exactly quilted, they are still lovely and involve sewing with fabric. Thus, they're going on here:

They are from the ever lovely and incredibly helpful Purl Bee (it's like the Mecca of quilting, I gather). They've got tutes on everything and ideas for all types of sewing projects. Not to mention their site header is adorable.

ANNND last but certainly most definitely not least are the following fabrics from Ruby Star Rising. It's the best takes from vintage goodies like transistor radios, viewfinder reels, and pretty ladies, all in the best color palletes I've seen in a while!

Now let's see if we can actually make an attractive quilt!
